Be Recruitment is seeking experienced Family Preservation Case Workers to join a newly established program with a respected Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation in Western Sydney.
This is an opportunity to help shape a new service from the outset while delivering culturally secure, trauma-informed support to Aboriginal children, young people and families.
We are open to hearing from you if you are interested in full-time and part-time positions.
This is an Aboriginal Identified position.
Applicants must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

SCHADS Level 5 - $105,577 plus superannuationSalary packaging to increase your take-home payApproximately six weeks of annual leaveOffice locations across Penrith and DoonsidePool vehicles available for work-related travelOngoing professional development and career progressionThe opportunity to contribute to a new program and make a meaningful differenceAbout the roleWorking as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide culturally responsive, strengths-based and trauma-informed case management.
Your work will support children and young people to remain safely with their families wherever possible.Your responsibilities will include:Delivering intensive family preservation case managementCompleting family assessments, risk assessments and safety planningDeveloping family-led case plans and reviewing progressUndertaking home visits and providing community-based supportWorking collaboratively with Family Support Workers and external stakeholdersBuilding trusted relationships with Aboriginal children, families and communitiesMaintaining accurate, timely and high-quality case notes and documentationAbout youYou will bring:Casework experience in family preservation, child protection, intensive family support or a related serviceA sound understanding of trauma-informed practice, child protection and family-centred supportStrong communication, engagement and relationship-building skillsThe ability to work respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal children, families and communitiesA Diploma of Community Services or equivalent qualification, or significant relevant experience
