The client is non-verbal, receives nutrition through a PEG and requires high-intensity, person-centred support.The successful candidates will be confident using electric hoists, following complex manual-handling procedures and providing personal care supports.
Role-specific training will be provided.
Cultural sensitivity and the ability to respectfully support the client and their family's Asian cultural background are important.About the ClientThe client enjoys history, watching television and spending time with cats.
Shifts are available in the early mornings, late afternoons and on weekends.
Additional shifts are often available during school holidays.Additional in-home and community-based work may also be available with the company's other clients.
For this reason, applicants must hold a current driver licence and have access to a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle suitable for client transport.What We Are Looking ForYou will be a collaborative and dependable team member who communicates clearly, uses sound judgement and approaches support work with integrity, patience and a positive sense of humour.
