As a Mechanical Apprentice, you will work towards obtaining a nationally recognised Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
As a Automotive Electrical Apprentice you will work towards obtaining a nationally recognised Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology.

Due to the nature of these apprenticeships.
It is highly desirable for candidates to have obtained Cert II in Engineering foundations | Electrotechnology prior to applyingMust be 16 years or older to apply for these positionsHave obtained a "C" class drivers licenseHave completed minimum of Year 10 secondary education with English and Mathematics skills (depending on your apprenticeship)Be physically fit and carry the ability to lift heavy equipmentBe willing to complete a pre-employment medical assessmentBe willing to/have obtained a range of high-risk licensingBe willing to work shift consisting of a 75-hour fortnight (overtime may be applicable, roster days off applicable)Be willing to work and travel in remote locations pending on your work rotations, including travelling to attend TAFE and external training coursesThe ability to interpret complex instructions,



designs and diagramsThe ability to operate large equipment such as elevated work platforms and hydraulic drillsUnderstanding the ApprenticeshipBefore applying, itis important to understand what an apprenticeship with Western Powerinvolves.
