Both globally and in Australia, Palfinger provides superior technical support, parts availability and after sales service.We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Hydraulic Fitter to join our growing Rydalmere workshop team.
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this hands-on role is responsible for the installation, servicing, repair and maintenance of PALFINGER Cranes, Hookloaders and Tail Lifts.
Working closely with the workshop and service teams, you will ensure equipment is maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability and performance.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform servicing, repairs and maintenance on PALFINGER equipmentDiagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical and associated system faultsInstall and commission cranes, hookloaders and tail liftsRead and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical drawingsAssemble hydraulic components including pumps, valves, cylinders and hosesConduct inspections and identify repair requirementsComplete preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing activitiesSupport breakdown and warranty repair activities as requiredEnsure all work is completed in accordance with PALFINGER quality standardsMaintain accurate service records and job documentationWork collaboratively with workshop and service personnel to achieve customer delivery targetsPromote and maintain a strong safety culture at all timesAbout YouYou will be a qualified tradesperson with robust hydraulic and mechanical aptitude, ideally gained within the heavy vehicle, transport equipment, manufacturing or mobile equipment industries.To be successful, you will have:Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Diesel Fitter or similarExperience working with hydraulic systems and associated componentsStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsAbility to interpret hydraulic and engineering drawingsExperience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment or mobile machineryHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipStrong communication and teamwork skillsCommitment to workplace safetyCurrent driver's licenceWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary packageAccess to employee benefits including discounts on groceries, electronics, and moreAnnual health and wellbeing reimbursement programEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Monday to Friday rosterPlease note: The successful candidate must be able to pass a compulsory pre-employment medical, drugs and alcohol assessment.Sime is a partner of choice for the world's best brands in the Automotive and Industrial Equipment sectors.
