Permanent, part time opportunity (24 hours per week)Friendly & supportive teamOngoing learning and developmentAbout the RoleThe Planned Surgery Liaison Nurse will co-ordinate, negotiate and manage the transition of care of patients throughout the continuum.
You will be primarily responsible for managing the Planned Surgery Endoscopy waiting list according to the waiting list policy, streamline the planned admission process, and work towards decreasing wait for endoscopy procedure and length of stay.Aware of the Planned Surgery Wait list Policy principles with regards to when patients are placed on the planned endoscopy and surgery waiting listLiaise with surgical staff and other relevant stakeholders to ensure appropriate case management of patientsMonitor elective surgery cancellations and arrange appropriate follow upMonitor Category 1 patients to ensure they are treated within 30 days.Manage Category 2 & 3 patients to ensure they are treated within their designated time frame set by the Department of HealthClassifications for this position will be YU11 ($115,289 per annum pro rata)Your ContributionBachelor of Nursing, which meets the registration requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.At least 3 years postgraduate acute surgical or endoscopy nursing experienceA valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History check, or willing to obtainWhat We OfferA focus on wellbeing initiatives, with regular events and programsConfidential, solutions-focused employee counsellingA healthy work/life balance encouraged.
