Head Motor Mechanic

About the Role

At JAX Tyres & Auto, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Head Motor Mechanic to join our team at STORE.

As a full time Head Motor Mechanic, you will play a vital role in servicing and repairing a wide range of vehicles, ensuring our customers drive away with confidence and peace of mind.

What you'll be doing
Conducting vehicle diagnostics, servicing, and mechanical repairs
Performing maintenance on engines, brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and more
Road testing vehicles to ensure the quality of repairs
Accurately completing service documentation and job cards
Communicating with customers to explain issues and proposed solutions
Working collaboratively with the workshop team to meet deadlines and maintain high service standards
Following all safety protocols and company procedures

What we're looking for
Minimum 5 years' experience as a qualified Motor Mechanic
Automotive trade qualification and certificates
Hold RMS AIA qualification
Experience managing and training apprentice
Current valid Driver’s Licence
Robust diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship




Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A strong focus on safety and compliance with WHS regulations
Available to work on Saturdays
