Based in Queanbeyan, APS Parts is a busy and established automotive recycling and auto parts supplier. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality, tested, and reliable recycled auto components to our customers across the Canberra and Queanbeyan regions. We are currently looking for a hands-on, mechanically minded Auto Dismantler to join our fast-paced workshop team.

Key Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently dismantle end-of-life vehicles, including 4x4s and passenger cars, using hand and power tools.
Identify, test, and carefully extract valuable auto parts (engines, transmissions, panels, and electrical components) without causing damage.
Clean, tag, and accurately catalog salvaged parts for inventory and workshop storage.
Safely drain, recover, and dispose of vehicle fluids, gases, and hazardous materials in strict compliance with EPA and NSW state regulations.
Keep the workshop and dismantling bays clean, organised, and compliant with WHS standards.

Skills and Requirements
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with a strong understanding of vehicle makes, models, and automotive parts.
Previous experience as an auto dismantler, mechanic,



or trade assistant is highly preferred.
Confidence in using a wide range of pneumatic, power, and hand tools.
Physical fitness and the ability to handle manual labor and heavy lifting in an active yard workplace.
A current Australian Driver’s Licence.
Bonus: A valid Forklift (LF) ticket and/or NSW Motor Vehicle Recycler's licence.
