MARY PLATINUM SERVICES PTY LTD T/AS Dukes Cafe and Eatery is a breakfast and brunch café located in Darwin. The café offers a range of breakfast and brunch dishes, together with coffee, juices and other beverages. Dukes Cafe and Eatery is particularly focused on providing quality food and beverages and friendly customer service during its busy morning and brunch service.

We are currently seeking experienced and motivated hospitality professionals to join our team in the following positions:

Barista

The Barista will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality espresso coffee and other beverages to customers, while maintaining productive service during busy breakfast and brunch periods.

Key Duties:

Prepare and serve espresso-based coffee, including lattes, cappuccinos and other coffee beverages.

Select and grind coffee beans and operate espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment.

Prepare and serve other beverages, including juices, tea and cold drinks.

Take customer orders and process payments using the POS system.

Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee preparation and service areas and clean and maintain coffee machines, grinders and other beverage equipment.

Monitor coffee,



beverage and related supplies and assist with stock control.

Assist with the sale and service of light snacks and other café items.

Provide friendly and skilled customer service and respond to customer enquiries.

Follow workplace health, safety and food hygiene requirements.

Requirements:

Relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate II and at least one year of full time relevant work experience; or Relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate III with at least one year of relevant post-qualification work experience (minimum 20 hours per week); or At least one year of relevant full-time work experience may be accepted in substitution for the qualification requirement.

Strong coffee preparation and espresso machine operation skills.

Good knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, including grinding, extraction and milk texturing.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy breakfast and brunch service.

Valuable attention to detail and a robust commitment to cleanliness and food safety.

Pay: $67,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
