Experience in telecommunications will be highly regarded (but is not essential if you have experience working in a highly regulated environment.)Preferred Experience and Expertise:Demonstrated experience advising on privacy law and regulatory compliance within the telecommunications, technology, financial services or other highly regulated sectorsStrong knowledge of the Privacy Act, Australian Privacy Principles and emerging privacy regulatory developmentsExperience providing legal advice on telecommunications-specific privacy obligations, including protected information requirements under Part 13 of the Telecommunications ActExperience advising on obligations arising under the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act, including interception, data retention and law enforcement access requirementsProven ability to support organisations through regulatory reform and compliance uplift programs, including implementation of new legislative and regulatory requirementsStrong capability in identifying, assessing and managing legal, regulatory and reputational risks associated with privacy and telecommunications regulationExperience advising on governance,
