Short Order Cook – Casual

Café at the Aquatic Centre

We’re looking for a Short Order Cook to join our team on a casual basis at the Café at the Aquatic Centre. If you love a fast-paced kitchen and take pride in serving up quality food quickly, we’d love to hear from you.

About the role:

Prepare and cook café-style meals — burgers, wraps, breakfast items, and daily specials
Work efficiently during busy peak periods (swim squads, school groups, weekends)
Maintain a clean, organised kitchen and follow food safety standards
Manage stock levels and assist with basic food prep and ordering
Work well as part of a small, friendly team

What we’re looking for:
Previous experience in a café, takeaway, or short-order kitchen setting
Current Food Safety S
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Versatile availability, including early mornings, weekends, and school holidays
A positive attitude and great customer service skills
