Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Painter to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a broad range of painting and decorating duties across residential and commercial projects while maintaining high workmanship and safety standards.
Key responsibilities
Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, patching and cleaning.
Apply paints, varnishes, stains and other protective coatings to a variety of surfaces.
Mix and match paints and finishes to achieve required colours and specifications.
Fill cracks and holes and perform minor surface repairs.
Erect and work safely from ladders, scaffolding and elevated platforms where required.
Protect surrounding areas and ensure work sites are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
Read and interpret job specifications and client requirements.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within project timelines.
Adhere to workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
About you
At least 2 years of relevant full time work experience as a Painter, and/or a relevant qualification.
Demonstrated knowledge of painting techniques, tools and materials.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Good communication and organisational skills.
A valid driver's licence is desirable.
