Part time Chef de Partie

Eating House Rowville is seeking an experienced and reliable Chef de Partie to join our established kitchen team.

Operating since 2004, Eating House is a busy premium-casual restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. We offer a broad modern menu and cater for functions, events, takeaway and high-volume services.

About the role

This is a hands-on, part-time position for a capable chef who can confidently manage a section and maintain consistency during busy services.

Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and cooking dishes to established recipes and presentation standards
Confidently operating across pans, grill, fryer and larder
Completing mise en place accurately and efficiently
Managing your section during busy breakfast, lunch and dinner services
Maintaining portion control and minimising food waste
Following food-safety, hygiene and cleaning procedures
Assisting with stock rotation and kitchen organisation
Communicating clearly with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team

About you

To be considered, you should have:
Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experienced cook
Commercial cookery qualifications or equivalent industry experience
Confidence working independently on a section
Experience in fast-paced,



high-volume à la carte service
Solid organisation and time-management skills
Consistent presentation and attention to detail
A calm, reliable and team-focused approach
Availability for a combination of weekday and weekend shifts
Flexibility to work breakfast, lunch and evening services
Valid Australian working rights
