Job DescriptionOverviewSusquehanna is growing across APAC, and we're expanding our Sydney team with a Trader Desk Associate.
This role sits at the heart of our trading operation, supporting traders and ensuring our desks run with accuracy, speed, and control.As a Trader Desk Associate, you will work closely with traders and the broader market - handling key operational tasks, maintaining accurate positions and P&L;, and ensuring smooth execution and communication.
You will also gain exposure to trading systems, algorithmic tools, and automation initiatives.
This role offers strong learning opportunities and direct insight into a fast-paced trading workplace.What You Will DoReconcile trades, transactions, and positionsPrepare and submit delivery instructions for proprietary tradingMaintain positions, P&L;, and real-time desk informationSupport operational processes to meet regulatory and exchange requirementsUse algorithmic trading tools under trader instructionUpdate and maintain trading systems, proprietary applications, and Excel toolsLiaise with traders, brokers, dealers, and internal teamsAssist with pricing, execution, recaps/reporting, and post-trade issue resolutionContribute to automation and process-improvement projectsOperate effectively on the trading floor and stay composed during time-sensitive situationsWhat we're looking forWe are looking for someone who is technically strong, curious, and thrives in a fast-paced trading environment.You will bringStrong technical skills - proficiency in Excel; experience with Python or SQL is a strong plusInterest in automation and improving front-office processes through technologyKnowledge of equities and equity derivatives, or proven solid foundation with ability to learn quicklyPrevious financial services experience and completion of finance or investment-related coursework (preferred)Clear,
