How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:Electronic / Electrical assemblySystem modification and installation of electrical / avionics systemsElectrical circuit fault finding and diagnosisMechanical enclosure / component assemblyHarness manufacturingHigh level soldering skills to a PCB levelWork closely with Engineers to assemble prototype products based on schematic diagrams; accurately mark changes when instructions vary and report changesConduct and record product tests and diagnostic activities to support the production processUse of power tools, manual handlingEnsure all work complies with company procedures,
engineering requirements and regulatory obligationsIdentify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency and costMaintain effective working relationships with Engineering, Planning, Quality and Manufacturing teamsOther duties as requested by ManagementMinimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience:Certificate IV in Aeroskills – Avionics3+ years of experience in a high reliability and quality manufacturing operating environment, ideally within the space / aerospace industryExtensive knowledge of avionics and electrical systemsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills.Have a passion for advancing the commercial space industryDesired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:Knowledge of temperature, pressure, and flow measurement devices, mechanical and electrical systems, and propulsion systemsSkill in operating and manipulating machinery with great manual dexterityExperience with forklifts, cranes, and heavy equipmentAbility to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with Engineering and ProductionAbility to rapidly adapt to changes in direction while working in a fast-paced, challenging work environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office applicationsExperience with configuration management, non-conformance reporting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferredApplicants must be an Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident or have an appropriate Australian work visa or work entitlements.Gilmour Space Technologies is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all team members.We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples for all positions.
