Established subcontractor working with Adelaide's Tier 1 & Tier 2 buildersHands-on Accounts Payable & Receivable role using XeroFriendly, down-to-earth team with a strong construction industry reputationAn excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable skilled to join a well-established and successful subcontractor operating within the South Australian construction industry.Working with many of Adelaide's leading Tier 1 and Tier 2 builders, this business has built a strong reputation for delivering quality work across a range of commercial construction projects.This is a hands-on accounts role suited to someone who enjoys being organised, keeping on top of the detail and working as part of a friendly, down-to-earth team.About the Role:You will take responsibility for the day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, using Xero, and work closely with management, project teams, suppliers and clients.Your responsibilities will include:Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts ReceivableProcessing supplier invoices and ensuring accurate codingPreparing and processing supplier paymentsRaising customer invoicesMonitoring outstanding accounts and following up paymentsBank and account reconciliationsMaintaining accurate financial records within XeroResponding to supplier and client account enquiriesAssisting with monthly reporting and account reconciliationsMaintaining accurate records across construction projectsGeneral accounts and administration support as requiredAbout You:We are looking for someone who is reliable, organised and confident managing both AP and AR.Ideally, you will have:Previous experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts ReceivableStrong Xero experienceExperience within construction, subcontracting or a project-based environment highly regardedGood Microsoft Excel skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong organisational and time-management skillsConfidence communicating with suppliers, clients and internal project teamsThe ability to work autonomously and take ownership of your roleA practical, positive and team-focused approachExperience dealing with commercial builders, progress claims, retentions or construction-related accounts would be particularly advantageous.The Opportunity:This is a excellent opportunity to join an established South Australian subcontractor with strong relationships across Adelaide's Tier 1 and Tier 2 construction market.You'll become part of a stable, supportive team where your contribution is valued and where you can genuinely take ownership of the accounts function.If you have solid AP/AR experience, know your way around Xero, and enjoy working in a busy construction environment, we would love to hear from you.
