This is a full-time position suited to someone who works well in a quick-paced environment and takes pride in consistently preparing high-quality meals.Key responsibilities include:Preparing and cooking menu items in accordance with established recipes and presentation standardsPreparing ingredients, including vegetables, meats, sauces and garnishesOperating cooking equipment safely and efficientlyMonitoring food quality, portion sizes and presentationMaintaining appropriate stock levels and assisting with stock rotationMinimising food waste and supporting effective cost controlMaintaining a clean, safe and hygienic kitchenComplying with food safety, workplace health and safety,



and sanitation requirementsWorking effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team membersAssisting with the training and supervision of junior kitchen staff where requiredTo be considered, applicants should have:A relevant commercial cookery qualification or equivalent industry experienceAt least (insert required period) of relevant experience in a commercial kitchenExperience preparing Asian-style dishes, particularly wok-based meals, is desirableSound knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene requirementsThe ability to work efficiently under pressureStrong teamwork, communication and time-management skillsAvailability to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
