Lithgow City Council has an exciting opportunity for a Unlicenced Plumberto join their team in Lithgow, NSW.Reporting to the Reticulation Supervisor, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance in construction of Council's Water and Wastewater Supply, Reticulation and Sewer Systems.
The maintenance of plumbing and drainage within Council owned buildings, infrastructure and facilities across the Local Government Area.More specifically, your duties will include (but will not be limited to):Install, maintain and repair water mains, wastewater mains and servicesMaintain and repair water and wastewater pump stationsMonitor wastewater systemsMaintain and repair/install plumbing council buildings and facilities (only with a qualified trades person present)Water sampling and testing, including reticulation water, ground water and storm water if requiredRecording of work activities and information on Council's infrastructure including, but not limited to, asset information, infrastructure layout and configurations, operations of infrastructure, and information to be recorded in online electronic formsCreate and provide technical information regarding sewer mains, water mains, manholes, hydrant, valves, meters, services, junctions, inverts of pipes and any other water and sewer reticulation items as requiredCreate and provide information for work orders and complete forms as part of the Water and Wastewater job management systemsThis position also requires the occupant to be on call subject to roster details, and will at times,



be responsible for the supervision of the Apprentice Plumber.About youThe successful candidate will meet the following criteria:Class C Drivers LicenceTrades Certificate (Plumbing) or be willing to undertake the required study to obtain this tradeWHS Induction for Construction Works Certificate (Whitecard)Confined Spaces TicketHave a strong customer focusBe self motivated and reliableDemonstrated ability to work as part of a teamWilling to work on an on-call/call back basisAbility to work within Council's policies and proceduresDemonstrated commitment to and understanding of Work Health and Safety and Risk Management ProceduresDemonstrated commitment to honesty and integrityIn addition, an ideal candidate would have:Trenching experienceGas fitting experienceTraffic Control TicketJetting TicketFirst Aid CertificateSalary andBenefitsIf you are looking for a change of lifestyle, a new adventure, or to take the next step in yourcareer, this is the role for you.Between $1,****** and $1,******per week, commensurate withyour skills, qualifications and experience.Permanent,Full-time,
