Role Description As a Water Restoration Specialist at Flood Emergency Services, you will perform on-site assessments of water damage, extract standing water, and set up drying equipment in residential and commercial properties. You will document damage, take photos, prepare basic reports, and communicate clearly with clients about the restoration process and timelines. Daily tasks include cleaning and sanitizing affected areas, removing damaged materials, and assisting with minor repairs to help return properties to a protected condition.

This is a full-time hybrid role based in West Footscray, VIC, with a combination of in office work and some work-from-home tasks such as documentation and follow-up calls.





Qualifications
Experience in water damage restoration, disaster recovery, or a related trade (e.g., construction, plumbing) and familiarity with restoration tools and equipment.
Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work calmly and professionally in high-stress situations.
Solid organizational skills, including accurate recordkeeping, basic reporting, and attention to detail in following safety and industry standards.
Physical ability to perform manual labor such as lifting equipment, moving damaged materials, and working in confined or damp spaces.
Willingness to work flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and emergency call-outs as needed.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transport to attend jobs in and around West Footscray, VIC.
Commitment to honest, ethical work practices and contributing positively to a team-focused, service-oriented culture.
Relevant certifications in restoration or safety (e.g., IICRC Water Damage Restoration, first aid) are advantageous but not mandatory.
