How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play.
There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do:To carry out assignments associated with assembly and test of launch vehicle parts, components, and interfaces for electronic and mechanical systemsSet up and operate test equipment, including multi‐meters, current probes and break out boxes in lab and clean room environmentsAssist in testing hardware using written procedures and or work instructionsAssist in the preparation of technical reports as requiredEvaluate and understand all engineering (CAD) drawings, verifying dimensions and ensure implementation according to specificationsEnsure all parts are properly aligned and fitted in accordance with specificationsEnsure all work complies with company procedures,



engineering requirements and regulatory obligationsIdentify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency and costMaintain effective working relationships with Engineering, Planning, Quality and Manufacturing teamsAbility to accommodate off-hours work, as necessary, during certain build phasesOther duties as requested by ManagementMinimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience:2+ years of experience in a high reliability and quality manufacturing operating setting, ideally within the space / aerospace industry or aviation industryExtensive knowledge of mechanical, fluids, avionics and electrical systemsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills.Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:Industry experience preferredThe ability to work independently and part of teams.Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with Engineering, Planning and ManufacturingAbility to rapidly adapt to changes in direction while working in a fast‐paced, challenging work environment.Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with the proper usage of mechanics hand tools, power tools and measuring equipmentExperience with computer-aided design software is desirableExperience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specificationsExperience with configuration management, non-conformance reporting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferredApplicants must be an Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident or have an appropriate Australian work visa or work entitlements.Gilmour Space Technologies is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
