This is a great opportunity for an accountant who has established their foundations and is ready to broaden their experience in a financial services environment.About the roleA key focus of the position is preparing accurate monthly management accounts and providing meaningful financial information to support the business.
You'll also gain exposure to investment accounting, statutory accounts, regulatory reporting and internal and external audit.Your responsibilities will include:Preparing monthly management accounts, including P&L;, Balance Sheet and variance analysisCompleting balance sheet and other account reconciliationsPreparing accruals and adjustment journalsAnalysing accounting data and financial reports and identifying opportunities to improve reportingCalculating and reconciling investment-related movements, including earnings, dividends, income distributions, unrealised market movements and trading resultsPreparing investment portfolio reports and annual fee calculations for Benefit FundsAssisting with year-end statutory accounts and working with internal and external auditorsPreparing BAS,



FBT and GST reportingSupporting capital adequacy reporting and APRA and ABS returnsMaintaining the Fixed Asset RegisterProviding regular and ad hoc financial support to management and other areas of the businessContributing to operational and strategic projects across KeyInvest.About youYou're a detail-oriented accountant with robust numerical and analytical skills who enjoys understanding the story behind the numbers, not simply producing them.Ideally, you'll bring:A degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related disciplineAt least 2 years' experience in an accounting role or public practiceExperience in financial servicesCPA, CA or another relevant postgraduate qualification, or be working towards oneIntermediate or above Excel skillsStrong attention to detail and sound analytical capabilityThe ability to manage your responsibilities independently while working collaboratively as part of a teamGood communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders across different levels of an organisation.You'll work as part of a close-knit team alongside experienced finance professionals, while building your knowledge and experience across management accounting, investments, regulatory reporting and the broader financial services environment.We value people who are curious, collaborative and willing to contribute ideas about how we can work smarter and improve the way financial information supports our business.If you're looking for your next step and want a role where you can continue developing your technical accounting skills while gaining broader commercial experience.Company OverviewAbout KeyInvest Founded in ****, KeyInvest is an APRA regulated friendly society with in excess on $400m in funds under management.
