We are currently seeking a part‐time Medical Administrator to join our Hobart team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy healthcare environment, enjoys helping people, and has a passion for providing exceptional service.The OpportunityAs a Medical Administrator, you will be the welcoming face of our centre and a key support to patients, families, clinicians and the broader care team.
Your role will contribute directly to the smooth running of our day oncology hospital, radiation therapy services and consulting clinics.This position is responsible for:Greeting patients and visitors in a professional and friendly mannerCoordinating patient admissions, discharges and outpatient appointmentsManaging waiting room flow to support secure and efficient careMaintaining accurate patient details and ensuring confidentialityBooking and coordinating treatment appointments, considering clinical protocols and resource availabilitySupporting billing processes, including invoicing, payments, reconciliation and Medicare claimsProviding administrative and secretarial support to medical practitionersAssisting with preparation for clinical sessions, including appointment lists, messages and documentationLiaising with hospital wards, referrers and other health providersParticipating in quality improvement, workplace safety and accreditation activitiesSupporting other administrative areas across Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology as requiredWhat We're Looking ForStrong communication and customer service skillsA warm,
