The firm

Our client is a well-established Australian funds management business with a robust, loyal investor following and a respected track record. As the distribution function moves into its next phase of growth, they're building out the team and the coverage model, and looking for a Senior Business Development Associate to grow with it.

The chance

This is a rare BDA role with genuine runway. Rather than inheriting a mature, fully-mapped territory, you'll be helping build the coverage model itself. There's an existing base of advisers and brokers who already know and support the business but have never been formally mapped or covered, so a large share of the relationships you'll work are already warm.

For the right person, the pathway to BDM is rapid and uncapped. As the team grows, strong performers can expect to step up within roughly six to twelve months.

What you'll do
Support the BDM team across the full adviser and broker sales cycle, from research and prospecting through to meetings and follow-up.




Help map and activate the existing investor base, turning warm but uncovered relationships into a structured coverage model.
Build and maintain the CRM and pipeline as the backbone of the distribution effort.
Prepare adviser-facing materials, fund updates and meeting collateral.
Develop your own relationships and product knowledge with a view to moving into a BDM seat as the team expands.

What you'll bring
Some experience in a fund manager, platform or research house (Morningstar, Lonsec, Betashares and similar), or a strong sales background with financial services and adviser-facing exposure.
A genuine interest in funds management and the adviser market.
Sharp organisation and the discipline to build process where little exists.
A self-starter who wants ownership and a clear path to progress, not a maintain role.
RG146 as a baseline; Salesforce or CRM experience a plus.
