This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape capacity building and job readiness programs that empower people living with disabilities to build skills, confidence and pathways to meaningful employment.In this rewarding role, you will identify, package and coordinate high-quality, evidence-based programs that build participant capability and support meaningful employment outcomes.
Working across a range of initiatives, you will play a key role in ensuring our programs remain contemporary, sustainable and aligned with participant needs, vocational education pathways and organisational priorities.Working collaboratively with internal teams, schools, Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), employers and community partners, you will strengthen employment pathways, foster strategic partnerships and contribute to positive employment outcomes for participants.About the RoleAs Program Coordinator – Capacity Building, you will:Plan and monitor team performance, service growth and operational outcomes to achieve KPI targets and organisational objectivesMonitor financial performance and funding requirements while identifying growth, grant and business development opportunitiesFacilitate the identification, packaging and delivery of employment pathway and capacity building programs across a range of funding streamsDevelop innovative learning experiences and resources that align with employment outcomes,



adult learning principles and participant capability developmentCollaborate with RTOs and education providers to support accredited and non-accredited learning opportunitiesReview program effectiveness through evaluation, participant outcomes and stakeholder feedback, ensuring learning resources remain current, evidence-based and compliantMaintain strong operational strategic partnerships with schools, RTOs, and internal stakeholders to strengthen referral pathways, employment opportunities and participant outcomesLeverage partnerships and coordinate team-oriented projects, while representing Mai-Wel in education, employment and community forums to support sustainable employment pathways and participant outcomes.We're looking for someone who is:Passionate about developing innovative capacity building, job readiness and employment pathway programsHighly organised, with strong program coordination, planning and problem solving skillsCommercially minded, with an understanding of service growth, sustainability, grants, funding and fee-for-service opportunitiesComfortable balancing strategic planning with operational deliveryA strong relationship builder with experience engaging with schools, employers, RTOs and community partnersSelf-motivated, proactive and able to work independently while managing competing prioritiesA creative and solutions focused thinker who thrives on continuous improvementParticipant-centred, with a genuine commitment to building capability and supporting meaningful employment outcomesAdaptable, resilient and comfortable working collaboratively across diverse stakeholders and changing environments.Essential Qualifications & ExperienceTo be successful, you will bring:Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE***** or equivalent)Minimum three years' experience in program development, program coordination, employment pathways, vocational education, community services or a related fieldExperience identifying, tailoring, packaging and implementing programs or services to meet participant, stakeholder and funding requirementsExperience contributing to budgets, financial performance, funding requirements, while monitoring program outcomes and stakeholder feedbackDemonstrated experience identifying and developing opportunities to expand and diversify programs and service offerings through grants, funding, fee-for-service models,



and strategic partnerships.Experience producing high-quality reports, business documentation, proposals and funding applicationsUnderstanding of NDIS Employment Supports and transition-to-employment frameworks & modelsCurrent unrestricted NSW Driver Licence and current (or obtainable) Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.Desirable Qualifications & ExperienceExperience within disability services, NDIS employment supports, School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) or school-to-employment transition programs and, working with or alongside RTOs and community services will be highly regardedExperience developing and implementing grant-funded programs, recent service offerings and fee-for-service initiativesExperience analysing performance and outcome data to inform service improvement, business planning and decision-makingQualifications in Community Services, Disability or Human ServicesCert IV or Diploma in Project Management, Quality Management or Communications.Why Join Mai-Wel?
