This is a hands-on, outdoor role ideal for someone with solid grounds maintenance experience and a genuine passion forsupporting people with disabilities to build skills and succeed in the workplace.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and is dedicated to supporting people with disabilities to succeed in meaningful employment.We currently have two positions available:1 x Casual Position1 x 4-Month Fixed-Term Position (76 hours per fortnight)SCHAD's Award Level 2Pay rates from$*****-$***** (base rate) $***** - $***** (casual rate)Salary packaging + meal/entertainment card (if eligible)Option to purchase extra annual leave (if eligible)Fitness Passport access for you & family (eligibility criteria applies)Ongoing training & professional developmentDuties:Lead and work alongside a small mowing crew across residential and commercial propertiesOperate commercial mowing equipment including ride-on mowers, whipper snippers, hedgers and blowersEnsure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standardSupport, train and mentor crew members in developing their skillsMaintain equipment and ensure all work areas are clean, safe, and professionalStrong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detailGood communication and problem-solving skillsPositive, patient,



and supportive leadership styleEnsure safe operation of mowing and gardening equipmentPlan and complete scheduled mowing and grounds maintenance jobsComplete daily client progress notes and incident reportsCarry out other duties as directedSkills and Experience:Proven experience in lawn mowing, landscaping, or grounds maintenancePrevious experience in the disability sector or a related fieldPractical experience or knowledge of Work crew operations and yard maintenanceStrong written and verbal communication skillsGood time management, organisational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamBasic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and ExcelExperience supporting people with disabilities in a vocational or supported employment settingExperience supervising staff or work crewsKnowledge of workplace health and safety practicesSmall engine mechanical knowledgeAbout Us:For over 65 years, Challenge Community Services has been empowering individuals and strengthening communities.
