The participant requires structured, person-centred, trauma-informed and consistent care.You will play a crucial role in supporting the participant to continue living as independently as possible, while helping to maintain a secure, safe and supportive environment that promotes wellbeing, independence and emotional regulation.Encouraging healthy communication and positive relationship building is an important part of the role.
This includes respecting the participant's choices, cultural values, dignity and independence at all times.You'll provide consistent 1:1 support while:Supporting the participant's independence, wellbeing and emotional regulationProviding structured, trauma-informed and person-centred supportBuilding a positive, respectful and professional relationshipEncouraging healthy communication and positive relationship buildingRespecting the participant's choices, cultural values, dignity and independenceSupporting daily activities and community participation as requiredFollowing support plans and positive behaviour support strategiesResponding appropriately to complex behavioural needsProviding overnight support and sleepover shifts as rosteredYour Roster:This position follows a two-week rotating roster, with two roster lines available.
