Simply Helping South Brisbane is locally owned and operated, providing aged care, NDIS and private support to help people remain safe, independent and connected in their own homes.We're looking for a confident and personable Community Engagement Officer to help us build stronger connections across Brisbane South.This isn't a desk-based marketing role.
You'll be out in the community, meeting people face-to-face, introducing Simply Helping, building genuine relationships and making sure local organisations know who we are and how we can help the people they support.This isn't about hard selling.
It's about building trust, creating genuine connections and keeping Simply Helping front of mind when someone needs support.What you'll be doingYour main focus will be community outreach and relationship building, including:Visiting Support Coordinators, Aged Care Case Managers, Allied Health professionals and community organisations across Brisbane South to introduce Simply Helping and build ongoing relationshipsRepresenting Simply Helping at expos, networking and community eventsHosting pop-up information kiosks at shopping centres and community locationsRepresenting the business at external engagements when requiredFollowing up and maintaining relationships with stakeholders you've metIdentifying new opportunities to increase Simply Helping's presence in the local communityKeeping simple and accurate records of visits, conversations and follow-upsProviding feedback on what you're hearing in the community and where you see opportunitiesYou'll work from a structured weekly outreach plan,
but you'll also have the freedom to use your initiative and identify opportunities yourself.Who we're looking forThis role will suit someone who genuinely enjoys meeting people and isn't afraid to walk into an organisation, introduce themselves and start a conversation.You'll be:Confident, friendly and naturally good at building relationshipsComfortable approaching new organisations and people face-to-faceSelf-motivated and able to work independently in the communityProfessional, reliable and organisedA strong communicator who can explain our services without using a hard-sell approachComfortable representing Simply Helping independently at stakeholder visits and community activitiesResults-focused and willing to take ownership of the rolePrevious experience in NDIS, aged care, disability, community services, stakeholder engagement or business development would be highly regarded.If you already understand the NDIS or aged care sector, or have existing skilled networks within it, we'd particularly like to hear from you.What you'll needCurrent driver's licence and reliable vehicle, as regular travel throughout Brisbane South is a key part of the roleNDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtainWorking with Children Check / Blue CardCurrent First Aid and CPRWhy join Simply Helping?
