St Mary's Cathedral Precinct (Precinct) is located in Sydney's CBD and incorporates the Cathedral, Cathedral House, the Crypt, surrounding grounds and associated operations.
St Mary's Cathedral is currently seeking a candidate to fill the permanent full-time position of Cleaner, to ensure the precinct and all its facilities are clean and highly presentable that is welcoming for visitors, guests and parishioners.
About the Role
Reporting to the Services Manager, the Cleaner will be able to perform the inherent requirements of the job, including those duties outlined below:
Carrying out cleaning duties within the Precinct nominated by Service ManagerEnsuring that the cleaning standards comply with the Precincts Standard Operating ProceduresAdvising Service Manager of low stock levels of cleaning equipment, materials and suppliesEnsuring lost property is handed into Front OfficeNotifying Services Manager of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairsMaintaining an awareness of new cleaning methods and productsAdherence to directions provided by Services Manager and General ManagerOther duties as requested.
About You




The ideal candidate should satisfy the following selection criteria:
Minimum of two years relevant experience with good knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment, including environmentally friendly and septic safe productsHigh attention to detailAbility to understand and follow simple oral and written directionsAbility to be adaptable and problem solveDemonstrated commitment to the ethos and values of the Catholic Church and its TraditionCurrent Working with Children clearance in NSWCurrent CPR and First Aid certifications (however not essential)
