Initially offered as a 3-month contract, this role has strong potential to become permanent and would suit someone looking to accelerate their development within a complex, high-risk environment.
About the Role
Reporting into the Safety Manager, you'll partner closely with operational teams across a large field-based workforce.
Providing practical WHS advice, coaching and support to operational teams and contractorsConducting workplace inspections, safety audits and assurance activitiesIdentifying hazards and partnering with leaders to implement effective risk controlsSupporting plant, equipment and heavy vehicle safety inspectionsMonitoring contractor safety performance and complianceInvestigating incidents, injuries and near misses and assisting with corrective actionsDelivering toolbox talks, inductions and safety awareness initiativesSupporting risk assessments and continuous improvement activitiesMaintaining safety reporting, dashboards and performance data
About You




You'll likely bring experience from construction, infrastructure, transport or other operational environments.
We're particularly interested in candidates with:
Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (essential)Current driver's licenceStrong knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management principlesThe confidence to engage directly with frontline workers, supervisors and contractorsA proactive attitude and genuine desire to continue developing within the safety professionComfortable working varied roster with some night shifts required
