In this engagement (offered as a Contract engagement), you will become a key member of our team and be deployed with a Government department on a high-profile modernisation project.
This position can be based from either of the following cities: Brisbane (Hybrid - 2-3 days in office).
ResponsibilityMigrate and rewrite legacy scientific modelling software into a modern,



maintainable programming language.Understand and translate complex scientific modelling algorithms.Apply a solid foundation in modern software development methodologies to all project deliverables.Conduct and implement comprehensive automated testing.Collaborate actively within a vibrant, dynamic, and growing team environment.Key Skills & Experience3 to 6 years of commercial software development experience.Proficiency in modern programming languages such as C++ or C#.
Readiness to adapt once the final technology stack is locked in.Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset.Grasp of university-level basic mathematics and statistics.Hands-on experience in automated testing.High energy, enthusiasm, and a highly collaborative attitude.Why Join FinXL?
