About the RoleWe are looking for a Lead Integrity Engineer to start ASAP for an oil and gas operator that'll be based in a gas processing plant facility in Long Island Point VIC (approximately 45 minutes to 1-hour drive from Melbourne VIC) for a 2 years' contract duration.
This is a 5 days a week, Monday to Friday role based onsite.
The Lead Integrity Engineer is responsible for leading and managing the local integrity team, ensuring the effective design, execution, and continuous improvement of integrity programs across the site.
This role works closely with the Asset Management team to provide technical leadership, drive operational performance, and support the safe and reliable operation of facility assets.
The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering collaboration, delivering strategic integrity initiatives, and enhancing asset reliability through best-practice engineering solutions.ResponsibilitiesFocal point for fixed asset (pressure equipment) integrity programs onsite including piping program, pressure vessel inspections, corrosion integrity management and pressure relief valvesTechnical oversight including review, evaluation and execution of programs and support to Operations and Maintenance teamsProvide direction to assigned frontline technicians and engineers – set priorities,



communicate goals and drive a respectful and inclusive environmentDemonstrate & promote a sense of ownership and drive continuous improvement through performance KPIsMaintain working knowledge of relevant safety case requirements and performance standardsRecommend follow up repair / maintenance to piping / pressured equipment, including execution of Management of ChangeTroubleshooting, root cause analysis for any bad actor or failureConduct Fitness-For-Service evaluations on in service equipmentAbility to learn and adapt to an agile and adaptable working environment, continuously stay abreast of latest developments in industry standards/ practices, bring in learnings/ experience to challenge and improve company work processes/ practicesSkills / RequirementsDegree in mechanical/chemical/materials or related engineering disciplineIn-service inspection, fitness for serviceKnowledge of materials & corrosion engineeringNon-destructive EvaluationRisk Based Inspection (RBI)Strong communication, leadership and business judgment skillsGood interpersonal and influencing skillsBroad knowledge of industry codes & standards including AS, ASME, API, AMPP, BS/ISO
