A national civil construction leader delivering complex infrastructure, transport and energy projects is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join its South Australian team.
With a strong reputation for integrated engineering and construction delivery, the business continues to expand following the award of a current DIT project.This role offers genuine progression, technical ownership, and the opportunity to contribute to major civil works across the state.Role OverviewAs Senior Project Engineer, you will provide high‐quality engineering leadership, project programming and contract management while working closely with Project Managers, Supervisors and multidisciplinary delivery teams.You will take a key role in driving technical outcomes, coordinating site operations and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification.Key ResponsibilitiesLeading engineering activities across all stages of project deliveryCoordinating Managers, Supervisors, subcontractors and suppliersPreparing project programs and supporting commercial performanceEnsuring compliance with design, specifications, temporary works and WHS requirementsProviding technical guidance to site personnel and interpreting engineering documentationManaging fabrication,



construction sequencing and overall project schedulingParticipating in subcontract tender evaluations and scope reviewsPreparing progress, cost, manpower and procurement reportsMonitoring construction schedules, methods, manning charts and equipment requirementsIdentifying and advising on corrective actions to maintain project progressEnsuring accuracy and currency of project reporting and schedule informationOverseeing inspection practices and mentoring Site EngineersVerifying temporary works designs and conducting progressive engineering auditsBackground & ExperienceTo be considered, you will bring:Tertiary qualification in Civil EngineeringSenior Project Engineer experience within civil infrastructureStrong technical capability and understanding of project management principlesProven ability to plan, organise and deliver work to strict timelinesExperience supervising subcontractors and coordinating multidisciplinary teamsExposure to bulk earthworks, energy infrastructure, and DIT projectsWillingness to undertake DIDO/FIFO work when required for remote energy projectsStrong communication skills and a collaborative approach to project delivery
