The Assistant Accountant is responsible for the accounting operations of a business unit, including month & year end processing, associated journals and account reconciliations.Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, your key activities will include:Maintaining accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts.Providing financial information and analysis per reporting deadlines.Preparation of monthly and yearly financial statements.Preparation of compliance activities including BAS, FBT, superannuation, work cover and payroll tax returns and supporting work papers.Assist in financial planning and forecasting for the business unit.You will have:An accounting degree2 - 3 years' work experience in an accounting roleStrong communication skillsAbility to effectively manage prioritiesCustomer focus and responsivenessCurrently studying or intention to start CPA
