We are seeking an experienced Electrical Lead Operator / Maintainer to join our clients high-performing maintenance team. This is a hands-on leadership role critical to ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of site electrical systems and plant equipment.
You will take ownership of the day-to-day performance of electrical assets across the site, coordinating maintenance activities and shutdown works in line with production requirements. This role requires robust technical capability, leadership of contractors, and a proactive approach to fault finding and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate daily electrical maintenance activities across the site
Plan and execute preventative and corrective maintenance programs
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment faults using trade knowledge and SCADA systems
Manage and oversee external electrical contractors to ensure protected and compliant delivery of works
Coordinate shutdown and maintenance activities in line with plant schedules
Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment status
Support continuous improvement initiatives across plant reliability and performance
About You
Electrical Trade Qualification or equivalent technical certification
Minimum 5+ years' experience in maintenance supervision and/or industrial operations
Strong background in industrial environments such as cement, mining, or processing plants (highly regarded)
Proven fault-finding and diagnostic skills on complex electrical systems
Experience with PLCs, SCADA, sensors, drives, VSDs, and industrial networking
Ability to program and configure electrical drives and VSDs
Strong understanding of industrial machinery and electrical systems
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Experience managing external contractors and ensuring secure work practices
Current SA Driver's Licence
