Allegiance Heart & Home Care is seeking a compassionate, reliable and experienced Arabic-speaking Support Worker to provide regular in-home support to an older female client.
Due to the client's personal care requirements, privacy, cultural preferences and communication needs, a worker who can communicate confidently in Arabic and English is required for this service.
About the Role
The successful Support Worker will provide respectful, person-centred support to assist the client to remain safe, comfortable and independent in her own home.
Regular duties may include:
Assistance with personal care and activities of daily livingShowering and personal hygiene assistanceDressing and grooming supportAssistance with safe mobility around the homeLight domestic assistanceGeneral household cleaningLaundry and changing bed linenMeal preparationShopping assistanceSocial support and companionshipAccompanying the client to appointments or community activities where requiredSupporting the client to maintain independence and participate in daily activitiesMonitoring the client's wellbeing and reporting any changes or concernsCompleting accurate progress notes after each serviceFollowing the client's individual care plan, preferences and goals
Applicants should have:




Ability to communicate confidently in Arabic and EnglishPrevious experience in aged care, disability, home care or community supportCertificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent is highly regardedCurrent National Police CheckCurrent First Aid and CPR certificationReliable vehicle with appropriate insuranceCurrent working rights in AustraliaGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to complete accurate progress notesAbility to work independently in a client's homeRespectful and culturally sensitive approach to care
