Our client is a well-established South Australian manufacturer with a reputation for producing high-quality precision-machined components. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / CNC Machine Operator to join their production team on a full-time basis.

Your recent role

Working within a busy manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to produce precision components to specification while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards.

Key responsibilities include:
Operating CNC machinery to manufacture precision components
Setting up machines and tooling to meet production requirements
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
Using calibrated measuring equipment to inspect finished components
Monitoring machine performance and identifying improvement opportunities
Recording part dimensions and completing quality documentation
Assisting with continuous improvement and manufacturing efficiency initiatives
Performing routine machine maintenance and housekeeping tasks
Supporting and mentoring operators and apprentices where required




Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures

What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience operating and setting CNC machinery
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Experience using precision measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers, and gauges
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Sound understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Solid commitment to workplace safety
