Byron Beef Jerky is seeking an organised and experienced Accounts Officer to join our team on a full time basis, overseeing daily accounting duties as well as providing support to Management and Directors by way of data management and internal reporting. This role is based in Bangalow.

Duties & responsibilities:
Perform daily reconciliations in Xero, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and updated
Manage invoicing, accounts receivable & payable processes, including cash flow management
Process payroll on a regular schedule, ensuring compliance with regulations
Prepare and review activity statements in Xero, including the reconciliation of accounts and addressing any discrepancies
Oversee month-end close procedures and financial reconciliations, reporting to directors
Assist with year-end close procedures in collaboration with external accountants to complete tax returns
Build and maintain spreadsheets for tracking financial data
Provide forecasting support and assist in the preparation of projections
Work with tax agents for FY preparations and as required
Work onsite at Head Office

Experience & qualifications:




Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an internal accountant or accounts manager
High proficiency in Xero and Excel
CPA/CA qualifications are highly advantageous
Bookkeeping qualifications ideal
Strong organisational skills
Keen attention to accuracy and compliance
Focused approach to work
Ability to adapt to meet the changes of a growing business
