Project Engineer - Mechanical Piping & Fire SystemsPosted 02 Sep ****DescriptionProject Engineer – Mechanical Piping & Fire SystemsSydney, NSW | Full-timeJoin an industry leading contractor and help deliver complex mechanical piping and fire protection projects across some of Australia's most significant construction projects.About UsEndfire Engineering is a proudly Australian-owned specialist fire protection contractor delivering complex projects across infrastructure, defence, healthcare, corrections, petrochemical, commercial, industrial and transport sectors throughout Australia and Current Zealand.As our Sydney operations continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our team and support the successful delivery of major projects across New South Wales.About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our Projects Team in Sydney.Working closely with Project Managers, engineers, technicians, site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and clients, you will help manage and coordinate the technical and engineering requirements of our projects.The role will support project planning, procurement, technical coordination, cost control, contract compliance and project documentation to help ensure work is delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.We are particularly interested in candidates with experience working with mechanical piping systems within petrochemical, processing, oil and gas, industrial or similarly complex project environments.What You'll Be DoingPlan, schedule and coordinate engineering and project delivery activitiesReview drawings, specifications, contracts and technical documentationCoordinate engineering deliverables, procurement,
materials and equipment requirementsObtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotationsLiaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliersMonitor project progress, costs, risks and delivery requirementsSupport project forecasting, cost control and variation managementMaintain accurate and up-to-date project documentationIdentify technical or delivery issues and coordinate practical solutionsProvide technical guidance and support to project and site team membersAssist with task allocation, team coordination and mentoringMonitor compliance with contractual, technical, quality and safety requirementsWork across multiple engineering and construction disciplines to keep projects movingAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will ideally have:A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering disciplineAt least three years' experience in project engineering or a similar project delivery roleDemonstrated experience working with mechanical piping systemsExperience within petrochemical, processing, oil and gas, industrial or complex construction environmentsStrong project coordination and problem-solving skillsExperience supporting project programs, budgets, procurement and cost controlThe ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and contractsStrong written and verbal communication skillsA practical,
proactive approach and the confidence to work across both site and office environmentsExperience using Microsoft Office and project platforms such as Procore and AconexA valid driver's licence and reliable transportExperience within fire protection will be highly regarded but is not essential.
Experience with AutoCAD or Revit will also be advantageous.Why Join Endfire?
