DRA's teams have deep expertise in mining, minerals and metals processing industries, as well as related non-process infrastructure including water and energy solutions.DRA covers all major mining centres with offices across Africa and the Middle East, North and South America and Asia-Pacific.The RoleWe are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Perth engineering team.Working within a highly experienced group of professionals, you will be responsible for leading electrical engineering delivery, supporting power system studies and modelling activities, mentoring engineers and ensuring high-quality technical outcomes across studies, detailed design, project execution and commissioning phases.Key DutiesLead electrical engineering activities across studies, detailed design, project execution and commissioning phasesDevelop and review electrical design deliverables including calculations, specifications, datasheets, technical reports and design documentationApply power system study and modelling experience to support electrical design decisions, system performance assessments and technical recommendationsPrepare, review and interpret power system studies including load flow, short circuit, motor starting, protection coordination, arc flash, harmonic and transient or dynamic assessmentsProvide technical leadership, review and assurance of electrical calculations, modelling assumptions, reports and design deliverablesCoordinate client, vendor,



utility and multidisciplinary engineering interfaces to resolve electrical infrastructure and project delivery requirementsSupport scope, schedule and cost inputs for electrical work packages, including proposal development and technical evaluationsMentor Graduate and Electrical Engineers in electrical design, power system study methodology, engineering quality, safety and continuous improvementYou Will HaveBachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering) or equivalentExtensive experience delivering electrical engineering within mineral processing, mining, industrial or utility-connected project environmentsStrong technical knowledge of LV and MV electrical systems, power distribution, protection systems, motor control, power quality and earthing interfacesStrong power system study and modelling background, with demonstrated experience using DIgSILENT PowerFactory preferred; ETAP or equivalent platforms also highly regardedExperience preparing or reviewing power system studies and reports, including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, harmonic and transient or dynamic assessmentsStrong report writing skills with the ability to clearly communicate design basis, modelling assumptions, study outcomes, technical risks and engineering recommendationsExperience across project development, engineering, construction support, commissioning and operational readiness phasesStrong stakeholder management, mentoring and technical leadership capability, with RPEQ registration or progress toward registration desirableWe value diversity and the advantages it brings to achieving our objectives, enhancing our reputation, and attracting, engaging and retaining talented people.
