Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) are looking for a Software Engineer (Embedded Systems) to join the MQ-28 Program.ResponsibilitiesSupport the design, development, test, and maintenance of software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle in accordance with industry, customer, safety, and regulation standardsAssist with review, analysis and translation of customer requirements into initial design of software productsLeveraging Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to support the development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, models, interfaces and designs for software productsSupport debugging and resolution of identified issues, to ensure reliability and efficiency of software productsSupport implementation of current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software developmentQualificationsSkills or domain knowledge in Mission systems, message protocols and data exchangeStrong communication skills and experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional teamPast experience using precise measuring instruments (e.g. Oscilloscopes)



in a lab environmentPast experience working with Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs)Past experience utilizing MATLAB Simulink for complex logic modellingPast experience in Software development in Defence software applications, particularly conforming to Defence and Airworthiness Design Standards, is highly desirablePast experience debugging Hardware Description Languages (e.g. VHDL) is highly desirablePast experience utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering tools, such as MSOSA, is highly desirableTertiary qualifications in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics and/or Electrical Engineering.Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.About usBoeing Defence Australia (BDA) is shaping the future of Australian aerospace by delivering some of the nation's most important capabilities to the Australian Defence Force.
