Structability is a well-established, multi-disciplinary Consulting Engineering/ Building Design firm based in Southern Sydney.

n

Our firm primarily specialises in the architectural, structural and civil design of residential buildings. The majority of work will relate to rectification/remediation of existing buildings that have been damaged by fires, tree impacts and vehicle impacts.

About the Role

n

We are seeking a motivated and detail-driven BCA Consultant to join our Expert Review Team.

n

The role offers a broad range of training across numerous building types and structures throughout NSW and ACT, with offices in Sydney, Newcastle and Melbourne.

n





Requirements

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
Inspections of existing structures to identify and suggest appropriate upgrading regimes to comply with BCA requirements.
n
Internal design review function to assist Building Designers for compliance of designs against the BCA, including
n
Health and Amenity
n
Access / Egress;
n
Services
n
Bushfire compliance of numerous building classifications
n
Development of Performance Solution Reports to satisfy the Performance Requirements of the BCA.
n

Specific Skills & Attributes

n

n
Solid technical report‐writing skills with excellent written English.
n
High attention to detail and robust analytical capability.
n
Effective communication skills for stakeholder engagement and site inspections.
n
Ability to work collaboratively within a team
n
Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC and industry best practice.
n
