Our program will not only prepare you to be a multi-skilled Electrician but also support you in nurturing those life skills that help you become a more well-rounded individual.So, what does an Electrician at Cornwall Coal do?
Over the duration of your apprenticeship, you will eventually be able to:Work on a wide variety of fixed plant and production equipmentGain exposure to both workshop and operational plant environmentsInstall, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipmentCarry out preventive maintenance to keep systems reliable and safeRespond to breakdowns, applying strong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsRead and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics to complete tasks effectivelyActively contribute to toolbox meetings and pre-start risk assessmentsWork both independently and collaboratively as part of a teamConsistently follow safety standards, procedures, and best practicesWhat You'll BringYou have completed or are currently completing a minimum Year 11 with passes in Maths and EnglishYou ideally are completing or have completed Cert I or II ElectrotechnologyYou have good communication skills and the ability to work well in a teamYou have a genuine interest in your chosen tradeYou bring a positive attitude, a love of learning and a willingness to tackle whatever comes your wayWhat's on Offer?
