About ACC Victoria Ltd
About ACC Victoria Ltd Australian Christian College Victoria Ltd (ACC) is a non-denominational, Christian Education organisation, whose mission is to develop each and every student to be equipped spiritually, academically, socially and physically to flourish into their full potential, and be a positive influence on the world around them.
ACC is wholeheartedly committed to excellence in education so that students are "well known, well loved, and well taught" by dedicated trained Christian staff.
ACC is part of Christian Education Ministries (CEM), with 17 schools in 5 states, and is also the largest non-government Distance Education provider in Australia.
About ACC Casey
Our ACC Casey campus, is located at Cranbourne South (45 minutes south of Melbourne), and is a P-11, co-ed, Christian school with Secondary year groups being added each year until P-12 is catered for.
We're praying for the right teaching staff to come and join our team, and we're thankful that you would consider our College as a place where you will have meaningful relationships and do meaningful work.
About the opportunity
We have two full time Primary Teaching positions available to commence Term 1, ****.
ACC Casey is a growing school with a strong sense of purpose, community and momentum.
As our enrolments continue to increase, we are looking for excellent Primary teachers who want to contribute to a school where students are genuinely known, relationships matter, and teachers are supported to continually improve their practice.
Teaching at ACC Casey is characterised by high expectations, strong relationships and evidence-informed practice.
We want classrooms to be calm, purposeful and engaging places where students know what they are learning, experience success and are challenged to make meaningful academic progress.
Our approach to teaching and learning is increasingly informed by the Science of Learning and evidence about how students learn most effectively.
Teachers are supported to strengthen practices such as:
Explicit teaching and clear instructional sequences;
Carefully planned modelling and worked examples;
Frequent checking for understanding;
Effective questioning and opportunities for students to respond;
Retrieval practice and deliberate review of prior learning;
Managing cognitive load and breaking complex learning into achievable steps;
Providing guided practice before students move towards greater independence;
Using assessment and student data to identify gaps, respond to need and inform future teaching;
Establishing strong classroom routines that maximise learning time;
Maintaining high expectations for both learning and behaviour.
A significant feature of our professional culture is instructional coaching.
We believe that great teachers continue to get better, and we seek to create a culture where feedback, observation and skilled dialogue are normal parts of our work.
Teachers participate in regular coaching and professional learning focused on small, achievable improvements to classroom practice.
Rather than professional development being disconnected from the classroom, our aim is for teachers to have opportunities tolearn, practise, receive feedback and refine their teaching over time.
You will join a collaborative Primary team where teachers work together on curriculum, assessment, student progress and effective teaching practice.
We value professional generosity - sharing resources, discussing challenges, observing what works and supporting one another to achieve the best possible outcomes for students.
As a Christian school, our faith is not an addition to the educational program but an important part of who we are.
Teachers have opportunities to help students understand the world through a Biblical worldview, participate in prayer and devotions, contribute to the spiritual life of the College and model authentic Christian faith through their relationships and practice.
ACC Casey is also a school in an exciting stage of growth.
This means there are opportunities for teachers who want to contribute beyond their own classroom - helping shape curriculum, culture, programs and practices as the College continues to develop.
We would particularly love to hear from teachers who:
Believe every student is capable of growth;
Combine warmth and strong relationships with high expectations;
Are passionate about excellent Primary teaching;
Are interested in evidence-informed teaching and the Science of Learning;
Welcome coaching, feedback and opportunities to improve their craft;
Enjoy working collaboratively rather than in isolation;
Are organised, reflective and willing to contribute to a growing school;
Want to know their students deeply and help them flourish academically, socially and spiritually;
Are excited by the opportunity to contribute to a distinctly Christian school community.
Whether you are already experienced in evidence-informed teaching or are eager to d
