We’re looking for a practical, people-focused People Partner to support our Australian retail network. This role partners closely with leaders across our stores, providing trusted advice and hands-on support across employee relations, performance, safety, compliance, recruitment and day-to-day people matters.
You’ll be a key support for leaders, helping them navigate complex situations with confidence, fairness and care, while making sure our people practices are consistent, compliant and aligned to the Kathmandu way.

About the role
In this role, you’ll:

Provide practical advice and coaching to retail leaders on employee relations, performance, misconduct, grievances and workplace matters.
Support fair and consistent people processes, including investigations, documentation, performance improvement and employment decisions.
Partner with leaders on succession planning, talent development and performance management.
Maintain accurate employee records, reports and employment documentation.
Support injury management, return to work coordination and workers compensation matters.
Assist with recruitment,



HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Help leaders interpret policies, processes and employment obligations in a transparent and practical way.

About you
You’re an approachable and commercially minded HR professional who enjoys partnering with leaders and solving people challenges in a practical way. You bring sound judgement, strong communication skills and the confidence to manage sensitive matters with care and professionalism.

You’ll bring:

Experience in HR business partnering, employee relations or a similar People advisory role.
Strong understanding of employment legislation, awards, workplace policies and fair process.
Confidence coaching and influencing leaders across a multi-site setting.
Solid organisation, prioritisation and follow-through.
High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
Experience supporting retail, multi-site or geographically dispersed teams would be highly regarded.
