About the role
We're on the hunt for an experienced and passionateHead Chefto lead the kitchen at the ***** seat café and bistro in a renowned suburb of Sydney's Inner West.
This is a unique opportunity for someone seeking full ownership and autonomy in the kitchen.
If you love creating simple, fresh, and creative dishes with high quality ingredients in the French tradition with a twist, this is the role for you!
Responsibilities
Design and execute menus that reflect the signature French bistro style with a twist.
Lead kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and high-quality standards.
Oversee stock control, food costs, and supplier relationships to maintain profitability.
Manage and mentor a small team, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations.




Work closely with the manager, and front-of-house team to deliver a seamless dining experience.
About you
3-5 years of experiencein a Head Chef or senior kitchen role.
French or European culinary techniques -no Michelin stars required, just great food!
Professional attitude with ahands-onapproach.
Organised, clean, and efficient, able to thrive in asmall kitchen.
Business-minded, with an understanding offood and labour costs.
Long tenure in past roles - this is for someonecommitted to the industry.
A team player who valuesautonomy, trust, and results-driven leadership.
