About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Building & Construction Associate to join our growing, high‐performing yet friendly Building, Construction & Infrastructure team.
While this role is based in our Sydney CBD office, Bartier Perry allows flexible and remote working.

About the team
Sitting within our Commercial Disputes group, the Building, Construction & Infrastructure team represents a variety of clients across the private and public sectors, including principals, developers, builders, contractors, consultants, and high‐net‐wealth individuals.
Team members work across three partners known for their expertise in the field and their passion for developing junior lawyers into world‐class professionals.
Responsibilities
As an Associate, you will handle day‐to‐day case management under partner supervision, liaise with clients, attend court, brief counsel and experts, and support all aspects of the file.
You will also gain exposure to front‐end matters, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction contracts, and providing commercial project delivery advice.
About you
3–5 years of post‐admission experience in building, construction and infrastructure law, including general disputes and some front‐end work
Strong knowledge of court, expert determinations, and tribunal practice and procedure
Experience with SOPA legislation and adjudications for claimants and respondents
Familiarity with standard‐form building contracts
Experience working with building experts and preparing technical reports
Commercial and client‐focused mindset
Excellent communication skills and solid attention to detail
Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to collaborate within a team
