Senior Business Analyst - Inventory Transformation

About the Opportunity
n
At CSR, we're embarking on a strategic inventory transformation initiative designed to optimise inventory performance, strengthen supply chain capabilities, and drive operational excellence across the business.
n
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support this critical transformation program from discovery and diagnostic phases through to future-state design and implementation.
n
Working closely with the Project Manager and key business stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in analysing current inventory practices, identifying optimisation opportunities, and developing actionable insights that help shape the future of inventory management across CSR.
n
This is a unique opportunity to influence enterprise-wide change while working across procurement, planning, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, finance, and commercial functions.
n
Importantly, this is not a traditional IT Business Analyst role. We are looking for a commercially minded analyst with strong supply chain, inventory management, process improvement, and business transformation experience.

About the Role
n
As the Business Analyst, you will partner with business leaders, subject matter experts, and the Project Manager to assess current-state processes, analyse inventory performance, and support the development of future-state operating models and inventory management frameworks.
n
You will leverage data, analytics, and stakeholder insights to uncover opportunities for improvement, challenge existing ways of working, and support the delivery of sustainable business outcomes.
n
Key focus areas will include:

Inventory performance analysis and optimisation
n
Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ) and Minimum Production Quantities (MPQ)
n
Demand planning and forecasting processes
n
Product lifecycle inventory management
n
Inventory governance and decision-making frameworks
n
Business process analysis and redesign
n
Advantages identification and tracking

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Support the delivery of a strategic inventory transformation program across the business.
n
Gather, document, and analyse business requirements through stakeholder engagement and workshops.
n
Conduct detailed analysis of inventory data, processes, policies, and performance metrics.
n
Identify trends, root causes, risks, and opportunities to improve inventory outcomes.
n
Map current-state processes and support the design of future-state operating models and workflows.
n
Develop process maps, business requirements, analysis packs, and decision-support materials.
n
Partner with procurement, planning, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, finance, and commercial teams to understand operational challenges and improvement opportunities.
n
Support workshop facilitation and capture outcomes, requirements, and actions.lli>Assist in developing business cases, benefits assessments, and implementation
recommendations.lli
>Create reporting dashboards, presentations, and stakeholder

>Support change management activities by assessing impacts and assisting with adoption planning.lli>Monitor and track key performance metrics throughout the project lifecycle.lli>Contribute to project governance, status reporting, risk identification, and issue management activities.

About You
n
You are a curious and analytical professional who enjoys solving complex business problems through data,
stakeholder engagement, and process improvement.
n
You have experience working within supply chain, inventory, operations, or transformation environments and can confidently translate business challenges into meaningful insights and practical solutions.
n
You enjoy working collaboratively across diverse stakeholder groups and are comfortable navigating ambiguity while supporting large-scale business change initiatives.

Experience as a Senior Business Analyst supporting business transformation, supply chain, inventory, or operational improvement initiatives.
n
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into business recommendations.
n
Experience with inventory management principles and supply chain processes.
n
Knowledge of procurement, planning, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, and finance operations.
n
Strong process mapping and business process improvement skills.
n
Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
n
Demonstrated ability to facilitate stakeholder discussions and workshops.
n
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
Experience developing reports, presentations, and executive-level insights.
n
High proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
n
Ability to balance detailed analysis with broader business objectives.
