We are seeking an enthusiastic Cytologist to join the Cytology Department at our Gateshead Laboratory. Hours are negotiable.

About the role
Primarily involves screening and reporting non-gynaecological samples, including fine needle aspiration biopsy specimens
Attendance at FNA procedures for ROSE
Involves collaboration with pathologists and other healthcare workers

We are looking for the following




Appropriate recognised Science degree with Australian Society of Cytology certification
Robust communication and analytical skills
Able to work independently as well as within a team
An understanding of quality assurance procedures
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Patient, reliable and flexible
Proficient, motivated and highly organised with outstanding attention to detail.
