Job Description

NH Collection Sydney is seeking an exceptional Rooms Division Manager to join our pre-opening team and play a pivotal leadership role in bringing our newest hotel to life.
n
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead the Rooms Division operation, overseeing Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Relations, Concierge, and Guest Services.
n
This is a unique opportunity to establish service standards, build high-performing teams and create memorable guest experiences from day one.

About the Role
n
As Rooms Division Manager, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence across all areas of the Rooms Division while ensuring the seamless delivery of exceptional guest experiences.
n
Working as part of the pre-opening team, you will be instrumental in setting up operational procedures, recruiting and developing talent,



implementing service standards and preparing the hotel for a successful opening. Once operational, you will continue to lead the day-to-day performance of the division, driving guest satisfaction, team engagement and commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead and oversee Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Relations, Concierge, and Guest Services operations.
n
Drive guest satisfaction through personalised service, proactive engagement and effective service recovery.
n
Ensure exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the hotel.
n
Manage room revenue performance, occupancy and departmental costs.
n
Conduct regular quality reviews and implement initiatives that enhance the guest experience.
n
Lead, coach and develop department leaders and team members to build a high-performing culture.
n
Resolve complex guest concerns with professionalism and a solutions-focused approach.
n
Foster strong collaboration across Rooms Division, Food & Beverage and Sales teams.
n
Support all pre-opening activities including recruitment, training, operational setup and service delivery planning.

Qualifications
n
The ideal candidate will have:
n
n
Proven experience as a Rooms Division Manager, Front Office Manager or senior hotel operations leader.
n
Experience within premium, luxury or lifestyle hotel environments.




n
Strong commercial acumen with experience managing revenue performance, labour costs and departmental budgets.
n
A track record of leading and developing large operational teams.
n
A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and service excellence.
n
Outstanding leadership, communication and organisational skills.
n
A hands-on management style and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced workplace.
n
Previous pre-opening experience will be highly regarded.
