We're recruiting for an exciting opportunity with an established finance group that is launching a brand-new insurance arm through a major AR network.
This is not a traditional broking role where you inherit an existing portfolio.
You'll have the opportunity to build the insurance division from the ground up, with the backing of an established business and a large team of finance and mortgage brokers providing a consistent flow of warm leads.
They're looking for a driven and commercially minded Principal / Senior Insurance Broker who is confident converting leads, building relationships and growing a book of commercial business.
What's on offer
Up to $135k + super, depending on experience
Commission structure of approximately 5% on business generated from company-provided leads
Approximately 20% commission on new business sourced directly by you
Consistent warm leads from the group's established mortgage, asset finance, commercial finance and wealth businesses
Opportunity to work with high-value commercial clients
Equity on offer for the right candidate, subject to performance and successfully building the insurance arm over the first 1–2 years
Support from the AR network on certain placements
The opportunity to shape the processes, client base and direction of the insurance division from day one
About the role




You'll be responsible for taking the insurance arm from its early stages and turning the opportunity within the existing finance group into a successful insurance book.
The initial focus will likely be on commercial insurance, with leads coming directly from the group's existing client base and finance businesses.
You'll have the autonomy to develop relationships, convert warm leads, identify further opportunities and build a strong and profitable portfolio.
This is a full-time, office-based position suited to someone who thrives in a sales-focused environment and enjoys having genuine ownership over their results.
