About the opportunity:
We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to support our Residential Aged Care Home and Seniors Living Units at our Aged Care precinct in Parkville.
In this role, you will ensure our buildings, grounds and facilities remain secure, functional, and well‐maintained for residents, staff and visitors.
As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the on‐going repairs, preventative maintenance and general upkeep of the facility.
You will also assist with identifying and addressing safety concerns to support a secure and comfortable environment for everyone on site.
Your work will play a key role in ensuring our ILUs and RAC facility remain safe, presentable and operational.
Carry out ground's maintenance, on‐going repairs and preventative servicing of buildings, plant,



equipment and furniture
Liaise with and oversee contractors, including site access and inductions
Identify, report and implement opportunities for improvement across the facility
Assist in identifying and rectifying WHS/OH&S; issues to maintain a safe workplace
Maintain accurate records using computer-based maintenance systems
Contribute positively to a collaborative, resident‐focused team environment

What you'll bring:
Strong time management, organisational and communication skills
A compassionate, flexible and solutions‐focused approach
The ability to build respectful relationships and work both independently and within a team
Previous maintenance experience (trade background or qualification preferred but not essential)
Experience in Aged Care or hotel/hospital settings (highly regarded)
Proficient computer skills: experience with maintenance management systems is an advantage
Good knowledge of WHS/OH&S; standards and regulatory maintenance requirements for aged care and independent living
Experience managing contractors and understanding of essential systems such as HVAC, essential services, and Building 9C regulations
Requirements:
A current Police Record Check




Trade based qualification or more than 3 years' experience in a commercial maintenance position
Current driver's licence
